Mrs. Garrett is from Lagrange, GA. She has her Master’s Degree in Education from LaGrange College and an Education Specialist Degree from Columbus State University. She and her husband have four children and a dog named Carter. In her free time, Mrs. Garrett enjoys singing, acting, sports, traveling, and spending time with her family. Teaching has been rewarding for her and her motto is “If it can be taught, it can be learned.”

Welcome to the team, Mrs. Chantelle Watson! She is the new Health Science teacher at LHS. Mrs. Watson is originally from Tuskegee. She has a BSN from Tuskegee University and an MSN from the University of South Alabama. She has practiced as a nurse for the last nineteen years, but her passion has always been for teaching. She has finally decided to pursue that passion! She and her husband have three children. In her free time, Mrs. Watson enjoys reading and dancing.

Career Preparedness class learned about opportunity costs through a lesson taught by Ms. Octavia Johnson. Ms. Johnson used a taste test of different pretzels for students to determine the opportunity cost based on taste, crunchiness, and flavor.
