Soccer Moms: Grab your oversized sunglasses, track pants, messy buns, and Stanley cups
BBQ Dads: It’s ALL about the aprons, cargo shorts, fanny packs, visors, and dad sneakers
Stipulations: Ladies, no leggings!

👶🧓 Thursday – Dress Your Age Day
Flash forward—or waaaay back! Age is just a costume today!
9th babies- onesies, pacifiers, bibs
10th toddlers: colorful clothes, cartoon shirts, stuffed animals, sippy cups
11th adults: business casual, scrubs, uniforms; show off your real-world look
12th senior citizens: Gray wigs, walkers, glasses, and plenty of “back in my day”

🎭 Friday – Mardi Gras Day
Let the good times roll! It’s a parade of purple, green, and gold with masks, feathers, beads, and festive flair. Go bold, go bright, and bring the Bourbon Street energy!
Support the Student Council, which will be selling Mardi Gras Accessories such as beads and masks.

🎉🎺 Get ready to "Let the Good Times Roll" as we bring the spirit of Mardi Gras to Lanett! It’s time for beads, floats, and Panther pride at this year’s LHS Homecoming Parade! 🐾

📅 Date: Friday, October 10th
🕑 Time: 2:00 PM
📍 Parade Route: From the LHS Parking Lot ➡️ to Cherry Valley Shopping Center

Calling all alumni, community groups, clubs, and Panther fans — join the celebration and bring the Mardi Gras magic! 🎭✨

Last week, our yearbook staff hit the town 🌆, visiting local businesses 🏪 to sell ads for the 2025–2026 yearbook 📚. We had a great time connecting with the community 🤝 while working hard 💪 to make this year’s book the best yet! ✨📖
This week, the Patient Care Technician class 🏫 focused on mobility 🏃‍♀️ by learning to lift patients 🏥 using proper body mechanics 💪. They also learned how to transfer patients from a bed 🛏️ to a wheelchair ♿️, wheelchair to bed 🛋️, and today’s focus was learning to transfer patients from the wheelchair to the car 🚗 using proper body mechanics. We took the lesson outside 🌳 of the classroom so the students could simulate real-world transfers.

Students taking this class are: Triniti Abner, Erica Galvez Chavez, Jackelin Herrera Perez, Carington King, Ja'Shayia Lewis, and Jaya Lewis. The class is taught by Mrs. Chantelle Watson, MSN, BSN, AGACNP-BC.

Reminder: $1 Tickets are for LCS Students Only 🎟️

As a reminder, only LCS students who purchased a special $1 ticket at school this week will be allowed entry to tonight’s football game. 🎉 No student tickets will be sold at the gate.

For all others, including children who did not purchase a ticket and adults, tickets are available for $10 through GoFan or cash at the gate. 💵

Please note, children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times. 👦👧👩‍👦

As a reminder, ONLY LCS STUDENTS will be allowed into tonight’s football game with the special $1 tickets purchased at school this week. No student tickets will be sold at the gate tonight.  Children who did not purchase a ticket at school and ALL ADULTS will need to purchase a $10 ticket from GoFan or with cash at the gate.  Children 12 and under MUST be accompanied by an adult.

Join us as we honor Coach Clifford Story with the dedication of Clifford Story Jr. Field at Morgan-Washburn Stadium on Friday, September 12. The dedication ceremony will take place during halftime of the Lanett vs. Barbour County football game.
