We want to inform our school community that we have seen a few recent cases of Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease. Please help us prevent further spread by keeping a close eye on your child for any symptoms.
Common symptoms include:
-Fever
-Rash or bumps on the hands, feet, or around/in the mouth
-Mouth sores
If your child is diagnosed with Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease, please keep them home from school until they have been fever-free for at least 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication.

Lanett High School Junior/Senior Prom 2025 is on Saturday, April 19th. Drop-off at the lobby entrance begins at 6:30 PM. Lead-Out begins at 7:15 PM in the Verdis F. Bible Fine Arts Auditorium. Admission for Lead-Out is $5.00 cash only at the door.

Each month, our students vote to select a Teacher of the Month. Congratulations to LTC McKinney, who was selected for March!


Students can dress down, tomorrow, April 15th, by wearing a shirt IN THEIR HOUSE COLOR and jeans. Students must comply with the dress code for dress-down days in the handbook.
Seniors: Light Blue; Juniors: Bright Green; Sophomores: Highlighter Yellow; Freshmen: Red.

A representative from the University of Alabama spoke to students in grades 9-11 about the university’s Dual Enrollment and Early College Programs. Both are wonderful opportunities for our students to earn college credit while they earn high school credits or attend a summer program on the university campus. The ACT WorkKeys assessment, administered to all seniors in Alabama, measures the foundational skills required for success in the workplace. Successful completion will earn students a National Career Readiness Certificate® (NCRC®). In celebration of our students’ perseverance, those who earned a Silver or higher were treated to a day of bowling and pizza in Auburn.
