All students will work from home
PreK–1st Grade: Students will receive their makeup work when they return
Grades 2–12: Complete assignments in Schoology
Students affected by power outages will have the opportunity to complete any missed work.

Staff will receive instructions regarding their work responsibilities through a separate correspondence

Due to an ongoing power outage that is out of our control, Lanett City Schools will transition to an E-Learning Day today, Thursday, March 12, 2026. All Lanett City Schools campuses will be closed to students today.
Students are expected to complete their A-Day assignments for March 12th and may also use this time to complete any missed assignments from their classes electronically through Schoology.

Urgent: All Lanett City Schools will transition to an E-Learning Day!
Please be advised that power has not yet been restored at W.O. Lance Elementary. Due to this ongoing outage and the impact on our operations, all Lanett City Schools campuses will be closed to students today, March 12, 2026. Students will complete their assignments electronically in Schoology. Students in grades PK-1 will receive their make-up work later this week. Staff should report to their campus and more information will be provided by your principal.

Lanett High School will be administering the ACT with Writing assessment to all 11th grade students on Tuesday, March 10th.
It is very important that your child arrives at school on time on the day of testing. This assessment plays a key role in measuring college and career readiness, and we want all of our students to have the opportunity to do their best.
