LHS and LJHS will host Multicultural Family Night: A Hispanic Heritage Fiesta on Monday, October 14th, from 4:30-6:30 PM. LHS & LJHS Students who participate will receive 5 bonus points to use toward a test of their choice, excluding 9-week exams. Parents must sign in for the student to receive the reward.

We want to give a Panther WELCOME to our newest teacher, Dr. Jacquelyn Roberson! She is our new Enrichment teacher. Dr. Roberson has been in education for 25 years. She has a Bachelor’s degree from Tuskegee University, a Master’s degree from Auburn University Montgomery, an Education Specialist degree from Troy University, and a PhD from Bethany Divinity College and Seminary. She enjoys singing in a gospel choir and cheering for the Crimson Tide! Dr. Roberson, welcome to the Panther Family! #panthernation

What is Title I ?
Title I, Part A (Title I) of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act, as amended by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESEA) provides supplemental financial assistance to school districts for children. Its purpose is to provide all children significant opportunity to receive a fair, equitable, and high-quality education, and to close educational achievement gaps.

*Safety Update*
Safety remains a top priority at Lanett City Schools. We would like to inform our stakeholders that the Lanett Police Department has closed its investigation into the social media threat that was believed to have been directed at Lanett City Schools. The investigation revealed that there was not a threat.

We’re working together to make sure all kids show up and participate every day possible. Being in school supports students’ social, emotional and physical well-being, and provides students with opportunities to learn and reach for their dreams. Let’s show up together and get back into the habit of daily attendance!

Football Season is underway. Lanett Junior High School will face LaFayette, Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. This is a home game. We admonish you to come out and support our student athletes. Tickets can be purchased on-site or online via GOFAN.

Last week our scholars participated in engaging math lessons. Students used manipulatives to solve one step equations.
