
Lanett City Schools would like to remind all parents and guardians that schools will be closed on Monday, May 26th, as we observe Memorial Day. This day is dedicated to honoring the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.
We encourage you to take some time to reflect and remember. Enjoy the extended weekend with your loved ones. Classes will resume on Tuesday, May 27th.

LJH will host a mini orientation and STEM camp, Monday, June 2, 2025 -Wednesday, June 4, 2025 for rising Seventh (7th) and Eighth (8) Graders. During this time, students will become acclimated with LJH academic and behavioral expectations and procedures, meet their teachers, explore classes and engage in hands-on STEM activities. Participation is highly encouraged!


Please see the 2nd Semester Exam Schedule. Exemptions letter have been issued to all students who have met the exemption criteria.

We want to inform our school community that we have seen a few recent cases of Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease. Please help us prevent further spread by keeping a close eye on your child for any symptoms.
Common symptoms include:
-Fever
-Rash or bumps on the hands, feet, or around/in the mouth
-Mouth sores
If your child is diagnosed with Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease, please keep them home from school until they have been fever-free for at least 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication.
