The 2024-2025 Lanett Junior High School Teacher of the Year is Justin Gagnon.
Coach Gagnon is a dedicated and passionate physical education teacher at Lanett Junior High School. He has been employed with Lanett City Schools since 2017.
Coach Gagnon is a 2002 Lanett High School graduate. He completed his collegiate studies at AUM, graduating in 2015. In addition to his role as physical education teacher, he is an assistant coach for the junior high football team, and also an assistant for Lanett High School’s baseball team.
His teaching philosophy is centered on the care of the whole student. Coach Gagnon notes that “seeing and understanding the intrinsic needs and talents of each individual student provides me the opportunity to aid them in growing and directing their own learning journey”. His goal is to expose his students to as many skills and sports as possible to unlock their full potential. He believes that a solid foundation in physical education will give his students the tools they need to achieve physical wellness throughout their lives.
Coach Gagnon and his lovely wife, Katie, are the proud parents of two wonderful children, Sawyer and Ella, and are expecting the arrival of their third child, Emery.
Congratulations Coach Gagnon. We are blessed to have you as a part of our Panther family!
