I grew up in LaFayette, AL and graduated from LaFayette High School. After high school, I attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where I became fascinated with the education field. In 2004, I began my teaching career at Lanett Junior High School as a language arts teacher. I was voted teacher of the year for the 2005-2006 and 2012-2013 school years. I received my master’s degree in School Counseling in May of 2013 from Columbus State University. I have been the school counselor at Lanett High School since 2014, and have enjoyed every minute of it.
In my spare time, I love reading and spending time with my niece.
