I was born in Columbus, GA and raised in various parts of the U.S. as I'm an Army brat. I spent the majority of my adolescent years in Virginia. I graduated from George Mason University in 2013 with a Bachelors of Arts in English. My concentration was Nonfiction Writing and Rhetoric and my minor was Spanish.
I moved to South Korea in 2015 to teach English as a Second Language. While living in Korea, I earned my TEFL/TESOL Certification. I returned to the U.S. in March of 2020; I taught 10th grade English Language Arts at Russell County during the 2020-2021 school year. This year I am teaching ESL (English as a Second Language) for the Junior High and High School. I am currently enrolled in the graduate program at the University of West Alabama to get my Master’s Degree in ELA and ESOL.
Some of my hobbies include: exercising, aerial yoga, and paint by numbers. I also enjoy reading, being outside (during the fall and spring) and exploring different areas and trying out new restaurants.
