Mrs. Dyson graduated from Arab High School with in 2003 before moving to Troy, AL. She completed her degree in Music Education and Graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2008 with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education.


Mrs. Dyson has been a part of Lanett City Schools since 2011. Mrs. Dyson spends her day teaching elementary Music to grades K-1 and 4-6 at W. O. Lance Elementary School and Band classes for students in grades 5-12 at W. O. Lance Elementary School, Lanett Jr. High School, and Lanett high School. This is Mrs. Dyson's 9th year teaching.

Students in grades six thru twelve are eligible to participate in the LHS Golden Panther Marching Band. This is always a highlight of the Fall Semester for the students that participate in the program. The marching band consists of a Drumline, a hornline,Pom Squad, and a Color Guard. Students in grades nine thru twelve are eligible to participate in the Pom Squad and Color Guard. We play popular music at the LHS football games and participate in marching competitions throughout the state.



Mrs. Dyson is currently in her 10th year teaching and loving every minute of it! She is a graduate of Troy University, and has been teaching in Lanett since 2011. She and her husband, Mike, currently reside in the Greater Valley Area with their two cats (Styx and Tygger) and two dogs (Copper and Pixie).
