Pennies for Patients

Select A New Community Service

Last year, Lanett High School chapter of the National Beta Club participated in the Pennies for Patients project.  Pennies for Patients began twelve years ago as a national cancer fundraising program for elementary, middle and high school students to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Students collect pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters, and the class collecting the most change in each school receives a pizza party. Prizes such as computers, electronics and sports equipment are presented to the top schools in each area. According to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Pennies for Patients campaign, millions of dollars have been raised by more than 10 million school students.

We will participate this school year, 2015-2016, as well.
